Physical Therapy Clinical Affiliation Program
At Next ERA, our Doctor of Physical Therapy Clinical Affiliation Program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience in a real-world clinical setting. Our program is structured to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application, equipping future physical therapists with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their careers.
Program Overview:

-
Clinical Experience: Students participating in our clinical affiliation program are immersed in the day-to-day operations of our physical therapy practice. Under the guidance of experienced clinicians, students engage in patient care, from initial evaluations to the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans. This hands-on experience is crucial for building clinical reasoning skills and mastering therapeutic techniques.

-
Mentorship and Supervision: Each student is paired with a dedicated clinical instructor who provides mentorship and supervision throughout the affiliation. Our instructors are committed to fostering a supportive learning environment where students can ask questions, seek guidance, and receive constructive feedback. This mentorship is vital for developing professional competencies and confidence in clinical decision-making.

-
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: We emphasize the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in providing patient care. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals, such as performance coaches, throwing coaches, hitting coaches, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers, gaining insight into the broader healthcare team’s role in patient outcomes.

-
Professional Development: Beyond clinical skills, our program focuses on the professional development of students. We offer training in areas such as patient communication, ethical decision-making, time management, and documentation. These skills are essential for a successful career in physical therapy and are integral parts of our program.
We are proud to partner with academic institutions to prepare the next generation of physical therapists. Our Clinical Affiliation Program is designed to provide a challenging and rewarding experience that helps students transition from the classroom to clinical practice with the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
