DR. John "JJ" Justyn PT, DPT, CSCS

JJ grew up in Canton, Ohio where he also went to school and played baseball at Walsh University. After experiencing 3 surgeries (1 labrum and 2 Tommy John), JJ became very interested in rehabbing athletes as well as injury prevention. He then pursued his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at Duke University where he continued to combine his interest with baseball and physical therapy. During his time at Duke University, JJ worked with Duke’s football team, volunteered with local sports groups, and was a Cameron Crazy.

JJ completed clinical rotations in both inpatient and outpatient settings where he learned physical therapy techniques such as fascial manipulation, trigger point release, and scraping. He enjoys working with all patients but is particularly interested in baseball-related injuries and prevention due to his past of playing baseball. Since graduating, he has been interested in furthering his education and learning to be the best clinician possible.

In his spare time, JJ likes to work out and spend time outside doing activities such as camping, fishing, or golfing. He also enjoys going to sporting events, despite the constant heartbreak of Cleveland sports teams. Occasionally, JJ and his girlfriend, Jaclyn, will make homemade pasta or raviolis from scratch. They also like to see new areas in Colorado together as well.
